Summer Staff Appreciation Celebration this Friday

What a busy summer at CMI, with more rowers and more staff than ever! Each season, it takes many hands to guide rowers and boats from the boathouse, through the water, and back safely to land - often while working those not-so-typical hours, sometimes both morning and evening in the same day. We hope their hard work has helped you find a few blissful moments out on the water this summer.

Please join us for our annual Summer Coxn/Staff Appreciation celebration where we give thanks to our staff and wish our student staff, returning to school or entering the work force, the best!!

(THIS) Friday August 15th 6:30-8pm
at the Cohasset Lightkeepers Bancroft Hall, 15 Lighthouse Ln Cohasset

We will provide sandwich platters, pizza, and light refreshments. Any side dishes or desserts welcome.

All families and friends are welcome!! No cost to attend, rsvp if you can, note if you are bringing something, and if you find you can come last minute- please do show up!!

2025 Summer Tip Jar

This is completely optional, but every year we get requests from rowers, families, and crews interested in providing a monetary gift of thanks to our dedicated staff. We also know they look forward to it and appreciate it.

(We know many can make more money elsewhere but we think they come back for the crews and the Cohasset views!)

As requested, we do help coordinate your contributions to the “summer tip jars”. All tips and words of appreciation will be distributed to the staff as you direct at the end of August.

In our new platform we have set up items in our online store under "Summer Staff Appreciation". These items are of various values that you can combine to total any amount of your choosing. Please note the system is limited to set dollar fields and the values listed are meant to help individuals, families or crews joining together. If you don't find one or a combination that works for you, reach out to [email protected].

For check/cash, please feel free to place it with a note in a sealed envelope on the shelf of the staff desk at the boathouse, hand it to Frank or Laura, or bring it to the appreciation event.

Where possible please do add your comments or directions if you want to recognize a specific coxn(s) who went the extra mile for you, or if you would like to contribute to the general pool for our adult or youth program staff. Each pool is distributed according to number of hours worked, so those who worked more, receive more.

Tip Jar open until 8/25 then distributed to staff.

Above all, we hope to see you at the appreciation event to wish them all well!
